Hey...My name is Tapaswini. I was nervous before joining her class. I didn't know how to talk in English in front of other people and my confidence level was very low. I feel good after joining her class. I speak English properly. She's patient & supportive, but really know how to motivate her students. I plan on continuing my class after 3month also. She has my highest recommendation.

Housewife - Nagda MPHello Everyone, This is Swapna Kumar, an under graduate engineering student. I joined Mam's session because I was scared of public speaking and wasn't fluent in English. I took her session for three months and it was a pretty good experience for me. I got to learn many things and interestingly discovered that I am not that bad in public speaking. I discovered this skill of mine because of the one minute on the spot extempore activities that were being conducted.

About Me
“Anybody can teach an intelligent student. A good teacher is someone who can help a poor one to improve”
My childhood
I come from a middle-class family. I was born in Jabalpur (M.P) My parents wanted me to study in an English medium school (it was not easy for them to afford). There was no one in the family or even locality to help us with homework or anything. We ( I and my sister) studied on our own. I had no plan for the future. There was no one to guide me. We didn’t even have a computer or internet at home.
Somehow I had a strong fascination with the English Language. I also love maths. I used to be among the good students in the class. I inherited leadership qualities from my mother (She is a housewife). My confidence has always been my weapon.
College life
I chose to do B.Sc (Computer science) as this was what my father could afford. I made sure to not miss any opportunity to speak in front of the public when I was in college. I used to participate in all speeches and debates. I enrolled myself in the Distance learning MBA program but could not complete it. Most of those who enrolled could not do it. (Don’t know why)
After graduation, I started working in Airtel, although I had a good offer from a CBSE school. My father always wanted me to become a teacher as teaching is in my blood.
Career
My career had been pretty interesting. I shifted to Pune in 2005 and worked with brands like Infosys, and Vatika business center. After a year I came back to Jabalpur and got married. In 2009 I worked as center head in VLCC where I learned a lot about team handling.
Motherhood
I can never sit idle. When I had conceived I appeared for MBA entrance from IGNOU and enjoyed pregnancy doing MBA (Hr). As my daughter was growing up I realized, I may not be able to raise her the way I want if I go for a 9 to 6 job. And that is how my journey as a freelancer began! I started working as a content writer for beingtheparent.com.
We shifted to Indore in 2014. Along with raising my daughter, I started taking tuition.
And guess what I finally discovered my passion!
Teaching, training, connecting with people, and motivating them to grow.
My journey from a mother to an English teacher and a corporate trainer
I would teach students up to 10th. In 2015 a CBSE school hired me as an English and personality development teacher but I left it after 6 months as I was used to working in a corporate environment. My journey as an English teacher began. I started taking English classes for homemakers, kids, and professionals at my home. I would organize summer camps in various schools. My husband inspired me to launch a Youtube channel. That is how “lot to learn” came into existence
In 2019 February, I took a space on rent and launched my English & personality development classes (lot to learn). In March, the pandemic hit us hard and the rest everyone knows. I had to shut my classes (suffered financial loss). I started teaching online on some apps and whatsup video calls (personal classes). When I started teaching English live on my channel, Unacademy contacted me and I joined them.
I left unacademy as I wanted to do a CELTA course from Cambridge University, British council (a highly recognized English teaching qualification worldwide). While doing CELTA I decided to work with College dekho as an English tutor and applied everything practically in my teaching what I have been learning in CELTA. I would generally get good feedback from my students and from the institutes I worked for.
I also collaborated with IMA (Indore management association) and started corporate communication skills and soft skill training in known brands like Cummins, and Corecard.
I have noticed one common factor while working with other English learning platforms. People are keen to learn English and institutes charge them high but they don’t give value to learners.
Hence I have launched my online academy-LOT TO LEARN where I can help people develop their personalities and improving English.
